Ezra Collective Announce Show At The British Library

The show accompanies the Beyond the Bassline: 500 Years of Black British Music exhibition...

Mercury Prize-winning jazz troupe Ezra Collective have today revealed news of their first live show of the year, taking place at the British Library as part of the Beyond the Bassline: 500 Years of Black British Music exhibition.

2023 was a breakout year for the band, following the release of their album, ‘Where I’m Meant To Be’. In her CLASH review of the full-length, writer Abbie Aitken venerated the collective’s “striking musicality, but also their inherent camaraderie”. Ezra Collective have since delivered showstopping performances at Glastonbury and sold out tours across the world, culminating at the Royal Albert Hall.

The collective are the perfect compliment to the first-of-its-kind Beyond the Bassline exhibition, which is described as a “journey through an ever-evolving and ever-expanding history of Black music in the UK”.

Ezra Collective will be supported on the night by SelassieTBC, co-founder of London label Pattern Sounds label and one half of Brownswood’s Future Bubblers team.

Doors open 19:30 and takes place Saturday May 11th. Get your tickets here.
