Mersey bandits Eyesore & The Jinx have shared their excellent new single 'On An Island'.
The band launched their debut single 'Gated Community' last year, a caustic slab of guitar noize that seemed to thrive on unbridled possibility.
Follow up 'On An Island' is a restrained piece of minimalist distortion, moving between taut spoken word segments and thundering one chord bedlam.
Produced by Jonathan Hartley from dearly loved Liverpool group Clinic, it rides along on a bass-line spasm, just waiting for the signal to descend into a fit of barbed wire guitar.
Eyesore & The Jinx describe the single as "a sweet and tender ballad dedicated to the cultural residue of post-Brexit Britain. Where endorsers of teeth whitener, protein shakes and 2-for-1 cocktails are as influential as the reptiles in Westminster…"
