One of the hallmarks of Manchester's regeneration has come from the city's ability to re-use wayward spaces, to turn abandoned factories into nightclubs and galleries.
Well, this process has now come full circle. Old Granada Studios – site of The Beatles and Sex Pistols' first television appearances – is now set to house a brand new project, named Low Four.
The six camera team will broadcast high definition music and arts based programming, while a viewing balcony means that this will be open to the public.
The first broadcast goes out on May 27th and features Everything Everything. The band's Michael Spearman explains:
"We’re really excited to help launch what will be an incredible new project for Manchester, and to play in front of our fans in such an iconic, intimate space. We visited Low Four before committing and were taken aback by the live room. It’ll be a very different experience to a regular gig as it's such a detailed sonic environment, and as result less forgiving so it'll keep us on our toes."
Low Four will live stream on lowfour.tv – follow @LowFourStudio for a chance to win tickets.
