Everything But The Girl have shared new EP ‘At Maida Vale’.
The digital EP follows on from their recent album ‘Fuse’, which garnered across the board acclaim. In our review, Clash commented:
“A rich, atmospheric song cycle, it has the emotional heft of The Blue Nile and the production nous of Massive Attack. In the end, it could only be Everything But The Girl.”
The group recently recorded a session at the BBC’s famed Maida Vale Studios, using their April performance to run through new material. ‘Run A Red Light’, ‘Single’ and ‘When You Mess Up’ were handed to Gideon Coe’s 6Music show, while ‘Nothing Left To Lose’ mades its way to Jo Whiley’s Radio 2 show.
Deft, refreshing takes on the songwriting, the performances illustrate the sheer magic that exists between these two musicians. Out now, as a bonus there’s also a video of the ‘Run A Red Light’ performance shot on the day by Edward Bishop.
Tune in now.
