Scottish math-rock nut jobs Errors have unveiled details of their new EP ‘Celebrity Come Down With Me’.
Errors can be accused of many things – wearing silly hats, for example – but the Glaswegian crew can never be claimed to be lacking a sense of humour. Searching for a title for their second album the band simply chose ‘Come Down With Me’.
A pretty decent pun, the Rock Action release was self-recorded in Glasgow. A step forward for the band it was rewarded with some warm reviews, with Errors playing a celebratory tour of the UK.
Now the band have confirmed details of a new remix EP complete with an exquisite tour. ‘Celebrity Come Down With Me’ – ARF! – will be released in September, comprising some stellar remixes.
The upcoming 12 inch will feature some friends and admirers, with Errors handing their material over to The Field, Gold Panda and Mogwai.
Mogwai are in fact the band’s boss, with the Glaswegian group helping to run Rock Action. However the post-rock crew are also fine remixers, with their production skills often in demand but rarely used.
The new 12 inch is designed to coincide with an upcoming tour. Errors will sell copies of the EP at the dates, while a digital version will include an extra bonus remix from The Twilight Sad.
Errors are set to kickstart a full tour with The Twilight Sad later this year. A co-headline affair it will see the two Glasgow based bands join forces for some much anticipated shows across the country.
Starting in Aberdeen on September 29th, the tour will move South through the UK reaching London’s XOYO venue on October 7th. Errors / Twilight Sad will rap up the tour on October 12th with a special show in Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms.
