Eric Bellinger Shares Blithe Afrobeats-Inspired Track ‘Feelings Never Die’

New album 'It’ll All Make Sense Later' is out November 22nd.

GRAMMY award-winning musician Eric Bellinger has unveiled his new song ‘Feelings Never Die’, arriving ahead of new album ‘It’ll Make Sense Later’, out next Friday via FTS Global.

‘Feelings Never Dies’ follows the Konshen-assisted Special, released a few weeks back. The lilting, post-breakup number was inspired by a creative epiphany Eric had when he visited South Africa. The single, and the album at-large, is a tonally different project from the perennial RnB hitmaker, informed by the lithe, vibrant feel of Afrobeats and its insistence of movement and momentum.

“I’ve always stayed pretty true to R&B in the past, whether it be slow or uptempo/club or bedroom vibes,” Eric says. “But with this project I felt the need to dance. To celebrate. To be triumphant. Each project I’ve always challenged myself to see what I could do next and the first place my heart chose to go was Afro!”

Of the lyrical inspiration behind the new single, Eric continues says: “I wanted to tap in below the surface level on this one. A lot of my music is based around love because I’m so deep in it, but I wanted to make a song about being heartbroken and still not giving up. To show people what it looks like and sounds and feels like to fight for love.”

Hailing from a musical lineage as the grandson of Bobby Day, a hit songwriter for the Jackson 5, the Compton-raised artist followed in his footsteps writing for major artists like Usher, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Ne-Yo. He’s perhaps best known for hits like ‘Valet’ featuring Fetty Wap & 2 Chainz, ‘G.O.A.T’ featuring Aroc and ‘Type a Way’ featuring Chris Brown and OG Parker.

Eric will hit the road on tour in support of ‘It’ll All Make Sense Later’ next year. The tour commences on January 31st in Seattle and concludes with a homecoming show in Los Angeles and a final date on March 9th in Las Vegas.
