Eminem Talks Bruno Prank

'Better than we rehearsed' he claims

Eminem revealed that he could take a joke after all at the MTV Movie Awards, with comedian Bruno plunging into the rap star from the roof.

Eminem’s stunt with Bruno has become an internet sensation. The comedian arrived at the ceremony hanging from wires on the roof, dressed as a dove with elaborate wings. Suddenly the contraption seemed to fail, with Bruno plunging from the sky.

Landing on top of Eminem, the rapper’s head wound up facing straight at Bruno’s exposed buttocks. Seemingly furious, the D12 posse threw the comedian off the rap star who then stormed out of the glitzy ceremony.

However the whole stunt was later revealed to be a well choreographed stunt. Script writer Steve Ackerman told the world on his blog that the entire thing has been scripted, with rehearsals before the show.

All of which lead to a big ‘I told you so’ from the cynics, who felt the whole thing was just a tad suspicious…

Speaking to American hip hop magazine RapRadar Eminem reveals that he is thrilled the stunt was such a success. “Sacha called me when we were in Europe and he had an idea to do something outrageous at the Movie Awards. I’m a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag,” he said.

“I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going nuts, so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it.”

The rapper claimed that after he stormed out of the ceremony he went home and “laughed uncontrollably for about three hours. Especially after I saw it on air.”

Meanwhile Bruno has been busy staging a takeover of women’s magazine Marie Claire. Speaking of the pop star Pink the Austrian fashion journalist said “just vatching him now on MTV. A great singer und so hunky.”

The comedian may have something in common with Eminem – they both enjoy laughing at Amy Winehouse. The rapper mocked the British singer in the video to his recent single ‘We Made You’ and in turn Bruno takes a pot shot at the ‘Back In Black’ star.

Speaking to Marie Claire Bruno said Amy Winehouse is “… not too skinny, in fact, for ein junkie she is actually zehr fat’”.

Meanwhile Bruno also refers to Madonna’s attempts to adopt a child from Malawi by saying “little black child… thanks to Madonna… it’s zis season’s vardrobe essential.”

The full length film ‘Bruno’ is due to be released over the summer.
