Eminem Not Robbed

Rapper blasts tabloid reports

Eminem has lashed out at American tabloids, after reports suggested that he was robbed whilst attending the MTV Movie Awards.

Just when we thought he couldn’t get any bigger, Eminem caused a huge internet sensation this week. The rapper made his long awaited live comeback at the MTV Movie Awards, performing his celebrity mocking single ‘We Made You’.

Eminem finished the show and returned to his seat, probably to soak up the adulation from the audience. However when comedian Sacha Baron Cohan entered the arena things began to go down hill.

In his Bruno character, Cohen was hung aloft from the ceiling dressed as a dove. However suddenly the wires appeared to get caught, with the comedian plunging to the ground. Landing face first, Bruno’s exposed buttocks were pointing straight at Eminem’s face.

The D12 posse leaped straight to their feet and threw the comedian off their friend, with Eminem storming straight out of the ceremony.

Of course, the entire stunt was later revealed to have been scripted and rehearsed with Eminem telling fans that he was “thrilled” to have been a part of the event.

However this wasn’t enough for some newspapers in the United States who reported that the rapper had been robbed.

The New York Daily News reported that whilst the rapper was attending the MTV Movie Awards his hotel room was broken into, with Eminem losing a laptop and diamond necklace worth an estimated $60,000.

However it now seems as if these reports were entirely fabricated. In an interview with US hip hop magazine Rap Radar the hip hop icon stated that “the only thing was that I lost a Nike watch that we were looking for. The rest it is made-up like half the other stuff out there.”

It’s no rest for the wicked round at Eminem’s crib, with the Detroit rapper performing at the launch of the new DJ Hero game. Brought to you by the same minds who dreamt up post-pub pass time Guitar Hero, the launch saw Eminem team up with fellow hip hop heavyweight Jay-Z.

Speaking to Rap Radar the Detroit wordsmith said “I love performing with Jay. Its the third time we’ve done the song together live and its always fun. It was an honor to share the stage with him again and to work with his band.”

Eminem’s new album ‘Relapse’ is available now.
