Rap star Eminem has given a revealing interview in which he pledged his support for Barack Obama before going on to say the majority of modern rap music is “crap”.
The American star, not known for holding back on his views, was interviewed by Zane Lowe for Radio 1. He pledged his support for US Democrat candidate Barack Obama in the forthcoming US election, and went on to say he thought most modern hip hop was “crap”.
“Actually I think T.I.’s new album (‘Paper Trail’) is great and I’ve been pumping that for the last two weeks every day in my car aside from my own stuff as I record it,” he said.
“Andre 3000 is also incredible. So I just mean rap in general.”
Eminem is promoting his new album ‘Relapse’ as well as a forthcoming autobiography ‘The Way I Am’. The rapper revealed that he has been working on material with long time producer Dr Dre for the past five months.
