Eminem Confirms New Album

'Recovery' due on June 21st

Superstar rapper Eminem is set to release his brand new studio album ‘Recovery’ on June 21st.

After years of silence, Eminem returned last year with his new album. ‘Relapse’ was based on his years battling prescription drug abuse, with the rapper at one point entering therapy to cop with the death of his friend DJ Proof.

An immediate hit, ‘Relapse’ was accompanied by the usual bout of controversy. Going double platinum within weeks, the album topped charts across the world with Eminem’s return becoming one of the year’s defining musical moments.

Promising ‘Relapse 2’ based on the same album sessions, Eminem has sensationally scrapped that idea by confirming plans for an all new studio album.

Due for release on June 21st, new album ‘Recovery’ will contain a number of first time collaborators. Set to appear on the album are the likes of DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and Boi-1da, among others.

“I had originally planned for ‘Relapse 2’ to come out last year,” remarked Eminem. “But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to ‘Relapse’ started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album”.

“The music on ‘Recovery’ came out very different from ‘Relapse’, and I think it deserves its own title.”

Eminem has already confirmed a handful of British appearances. The rapper is set to headline this summer’s instalment of T In The Park, before heading over to Ireland for Oxygen.
