US rapper Eminem could be set to make his long awaited return with new album ‘Relapse’ on December 23rd after an online retailer listed the release date.
Online retailer Amazon listed December 23rd as the release date for ‘Relapse’ yesterday (October 27th) but were then forced to change it after reports spread.
The rap legend has been inactive since the release of 2004’s ‘Encore’ album, citing the death of close friend Source as the reason for his long stay away from the limelight.
The next year is set to be dominated by Eminem however, with the rapper also planning an autobiography ‘The Way I Am’. Excerpts revealed online find the book dealing with his rise to fame, but shies away from the more controversial elements of his personal life – notably refusing to comment on a possible relationship with Mariah Carey.
In an interview with the BBC Eminem said that the album was designed to “remind people how I rap. I’ve accomplished enough with the music that I haven’t had to go out there and do other things to over-saturate.”
