Songwriting partnership Emergency Escape Plan have shared new single ‘The Page’.
The duo seem to have an Impressionistic way of dealing with sound, blending electronics with evocative songwriting. Constructing pictures with their music, Emergency Escape Plan merge their mutual skills perfectly across a flurry of projects.
French composer and bass player Jordi Authier is one part of the root, with the project also utilising the skills of independent producer Howard Whiddett (who also records as Sandancer).
Inviting numerous other talents into their studio, new single ‘The Page’ utilises the evocative vocals of Octave Lissner.
The perfect blend, the augmented three-piece lift their spirits, the surging yet understated power of the vocal illuminating the duo’s production finesse. Emergency Escape Plan comment:
”When I wrote the song, I had in mind a story, I did not say anything to Octave; but when he wrote the lyrics, it was the same story.”
