Emanative, and Louis VI are set to play this month's Clash Live @ Metropolis.
For more than 12 months now Clash and Metropolis Studios have been teaming up to explore new music, exposing some fresh talent in the process.
Last time round Masego, Yazmin Lacey and Wu-Lu starred in front of a packed house, assembling in the historic Metropolis Studios complex to take the roof off Studio A.
This months injection of seriously vibey fusion jazz comes courtesty of Nick Woodmansey AKA Emanative on June 21st, we are honoured to host the launch of his new album 'Earth'. A cosmic strand of multi-cultural UK jazz with African, Indian and Middle Eastern influences. Truly a celebration of the galaxy of contributors in orbit, including Idris Ackamoor, Afrobeat legend Dele Sosimi (previously of Fela Kuti's Africa 80), Manchester's very own Nat Birchall and many more – the list feels endless!
Adding a slice of jazz-inspired UK hip-hop this month we also bring in Louis VI to fore. With the buzz of intropsective debut 'The Lonely Road Of A Dreamer' morphing into recent outward facing international collaborations with Mick Jenkins for 'Jazz Got Me', Louis is riding high and will be blessing our stage with new project 'Sugar Like Salt'.
