2015 has been a banner year for grime, in both a creative and commercial sense.
From the Stateside success of Skepta to the rise of Stormzy, to the growth of genre's instrumental side and the proliferation of small labels, grime has rarely been in such rude health.
Butterz pairing Elijah and Skilliam recognise this more than most, with the duo now set to host new compilation 'Grime 2015'.
The pair introduce the release with the following words: “There’s been more hype than ever around the artists, music and scene this year. We wanted to put together something that serves as a good entry point to the vocal side of our music at this moment in time. We wanted to toast to a strong 2015 and usher in 2016 letting people know this music isn’t going anywhere for a long time.”
