It's a play on the relationship between love and freedom...

Rising South London R&B force Eli Moon has shared new single 'Black Roses'.

The songwriter's debut project 'Bodies' lands on October 18th, a cross-section of his innate creativity.

With his delivery moving from forceful soul through to something rather more introspective, Eli Moon's R&B drenched style comes equipped with stellar originality.

New track 'Black Roses' is online now, with the bubbling vocal emitting amidst murky production. Taking R&B tropes and twisting them in a South London style, the lyrics play on the link between love and freedom.

Eli Moon comments...

“‘Black Roses’ is me thinking about the relationship between love and freedom and whether they’re mutually exclusive - whether to be in love is to be tied down and trapped, or whether to be in love is to be freed...”

“I actually have a black rose tattooed on my arm - for me it represents life and beauty, but also darkness and pain.”
