Introducing Jesca Hoop

Elbow have announced that their forthcoming tour support will be none other than the sparkling talent of emerging songwriter Jesca Hoop.

Raised as a Mormon in California, Hoop may not seem to have much in common with the Bury based group – but the two talents share a love of lush songwriting. Raised to sing traditional folk songs in harmony with her family, this early musical knowledge informs Jesca Hoop’s songs with an other-worldly feel.

Jesca Hoop performed by herself for what no doubt seemed like an age, before catching the ear of American legend Tom Waits who described Hoop by saying “her music is like going swimming in a lake at night”. High praise indeed!

Jesca Hoope will release her new single ‘Kismet Acoustic EP’ on December 1st through Last Laugh records. The singer will support Elbow on the following tour dates:
