Editors Top Album Chart

New LP soars to top spot

Returning epic indie rockers Editors have claimed the top spot with their new album in this week’s (October 18th) charts.

Editors took time off last year to allow singer Tom Smith to enjoy fatherhood. However the frontman couldn’t leave his music alone, drafting a series of demos in between learning to change nappies.

Returning to the studio, Editors began working on a series of startling new songs. Taking on board influences from the world of electronica, the band were keen to attempt to find a new voice.

The band released their new album ‘In This Light And On This Evening’ last week (October 12th). Earning warm reviews, the record retained elements of the group’s trademark sound while also striving to find new ways of expressing itself.
