Gloomy British indie stars Editors have slated Kerry Katona, naming her the most dis-agreeable celebrity they have ever met.
Editors aren’t renowned for being a happy bunch. The band’s material tends to dwell on long sleepless nights, finding beauty and redemption in the most painful of situations.
With their recent album ‘In This Light And On This Evening’ Editors successfully put down their guitars in favour of synths, adding elements of 80s electronic pop to their arsenal of sonic weaponry.
Touring widely, it seems that Editors have come in contact with some celebrity names. However life among the stars isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Speaking to ClashMusic, guitarist Chris Urbanowicz named Kerry Katona as one of the worst celebrities he has ever met.
“Maybe Kerry Katona when we did Jonathon Ross” he explained. “Admittedly, she was going through a breakdown but the bitch wouldn’t shut up for a second.”
Elsewhere, the guitarist revealed the relief he feels when the band come off tour. “Anytime I come off a long tour and finally take the long trip home. After months of touring, sometimes you just need to sit down in your own space in silence for a bit.”
Meanwhile, the guitarist recently moved to the United States which he claims was the right decision. “I moved into my apartment in Brooklyn over a year ago. I was desperate for a change in my life and as soon as I walked through the door I felt relief and self satisfaction. I was and still am convinced it was the right thing to do.”
Elsewhere, Chris Urbonowicz revealed that Editors are all softies at heart. “The band went to see Up in 3D in Glasgow a while back. All of us were balling apart from Russell’s girlfriend who I can only assume has a heart of stone.”
