Returning epic rockers Editors have hacked into Google street view in order to give fans a chance to hear their new album.
Editors released their last album ‘End Has A Start’ back in 2007. A number hit it spawned some epic singles and the band seemed capable of shrugging off fan pleasing anthems with astonishing ease.
Taking time off to allow Tom Smith to take care of his new family, the singer just couldn’t sit still. Writing a number of songs, Editors swiftly reconvened for some experimental recording sessions.
The result was ‘In This Light And On This Evening’. Perhaps the band’s most daring statement yet, Editors previewed the album this week with the single ‘Papillon’.
An ode to the French escape artist, it also notched up ClashMusic’s ‘Single Of The Week’ – click HERE to read more!
Now Editors have allowed fans to stream their new album. The band have ‘hacked’ into Google street and are using it to preview their album.
Of course, in reality the band have created a new website to mimic Google Street View. The site allows fans to move around selected areas of London, with a number of night time images commissioned by Editors themselves allowing fans to stream the new album.
