Eaves Wilder’s ‘Morning Rain’ Longs For Escapism

London artist continues her journey...

London based songwriter Eaves Wilder continues her journey with new single ‘Morning Rain’.

The bedroom pop artist has been releasing music since she was 16 years old, when school still had her in its shackles. Now 19 years old, Eaves has been snapped up by Secretly Canadian, and she’s relishing her newfound freedoms.

This theme ripples through new single ‘Morning Rain’, a softly beguiling return with a sweet, yet melancholic, feel. It’s a song about looking out the window and realising you wished to be elsewhere, and hits the fine balance between escapism and ennui.

Deftly accomplished, ‘Morning Rain’ is rooted in the simple promise of freedom, and comes as Eaves Wilder lays out plans for a three show residency at Central London venue the Social.

Eaves Wilder comments…

“For me, school was something that postponed life from starting. I spent the entire time trying to get out of it. You spend 18 years memorising so much information and then they turn around and expect you to know who you are and what you want, but you’re not given a chance to really figure that out.”

Tune in now.
