Earth Take An Expanded Look At ‘Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version’

For its 30th anniversary...

Earth will return to their seminal album ‘Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version’.

The record was released in 1993, and took their primordial sludge to ultra-heavy levels. A kind of ambient metal masterclass, ‘Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version’ spawned a legion of imitators, and remains one of the project’s most beloved works.

An overhauled and expanded version lands on November 3rd via Sub Pop, and the new vinyl edition looks ace – it comes on coloured vinyl with an extra-wide jacket, two colour inner sleeves, and a double-sided insert featuring previously unreleased photos.

Alongside this, Earth have prepared companion piece ‘Earth 2.23 Special Lower Frequency Mix’ boasting five newly commissioned remixes. It all kicks off with the Bug and Flowdan uniting on a new version of ‘Angels’.

Tune in now.
