Suffolk-born, London-based artist DYLAN has released her new single, ‘Rebel Child’.
Released via Island Records, ‘Rebel Child’ steers away from the typical terrain of relationships and breakups, and opts for maximum impact: bigger vocals, distorted guitars, and sharper lyrics.
DYLAN explains that she wanted her own theme tune, “a main character moment”: ‘It’s purposefully at the tempo of a good, strong strut. It’s the first song I have released that is not about anything other than myself, not about heartbreak or loss, love or friendship; it is about me, myself and I.’
DYLAN is currently one of the most promising artists within the indie-pop sphere, having been shortlisted as an artist to watch by BBC Radio 1 Sound Poll, MTV Push and Amazon Music. She sold out Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London and Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, supporting artists such as Ed Sheeran, Yungblud, Bastille and Tate McRae.
