Welsh soul songstress Duffy has revealed how she accidently set her hair on fire while on tour with Coldplay in America.
The ‘Mercy’ singer has dominated 2008, with a string of massive smash hit singles and a best selling album ‘Rockferry’. The young girl from North Wales has come from obscurity to dominate the charts, and was picked to support Coldplay on their huge North American tour.
Duffy revealed to BBC News that she blew out a candle in her dressing room when the incident occurred. “The entire left side of my hair went up in flames. At that moment, Chris was walking down the corridor to say, ‘Hi’.”
“I hadn’t met him before and the place stank of burning hair.”
“Can you imagine if I had gone up in flames? Nightmare. I honestly saw my life flash before my eyes.”
Duffy releases new single ‘Rain On Your Parade’ on November 17th, followed by an expanded version of debut album ‘Rockferry’.
