Duckwrth has combined with Syd for new single ‘Ce Soir’.
The American artist’s incoming EP ‘Chrome Bull’ is taking shape, following the release of March single ‘Power Power’. The EP follows last year’s ‘SG8*’, and it finds Duckwrth exploring new aesthetics within his R&B framework.
Out now, ‘Ce Soir’ features fellow future-soul renegade Syd. The Internet co-founder is currently operating on a solo tip, and Syd adds something completely different to Duckwrth’s instantly-recognisable audio palette.
‘Ce Soir’ is a twilight alt-R&B burner, a sultry, sensual piece of soul music that sets its roots firmly in the left-field. Duckwrth raps: “I got a new bag of tricks I wanna try out/ We can dip, stick shift to the hideout/ Lil mama with the vibes wanna vibe out/ She like the way the diamonds still dance with the lights out…”
As he puts it: “once you press play, you won’t want to sit down.”
