Dry Cleaning have shared their double A-side single 'Bug Eggs' / 'Tony Speaks!'.
The band's excellent debut album 'New Long Leg' was released last year, a mixture of post-punk, off piste melody, and subversive lyricism that continually doubled back upon itself.
'Bug Eggs' and 'Tony Speaks!' were recorded during sessions for their debut album, which took place at the historic Rockfield Studios alongside producer John Parish.
'Tony Speaks!' was written in the immediate aftermath of the Conservative victory at the December 2019 election, with the band's Florence Shaw commenting: "I was thinking about climate change, environmental catastrophes and political campaigning."
By contrast, the rather more playful 'Bug Eggs' was an attempt to distill "the confidence that comes with age, fragility and sexual desire."
Tune in now.
