Dreamgirl’s ‘Sometimes’ Is A Super-Cute Piece Of Indie Pop

Watch the Kansas City group's new video...

Dreamgirl make divine, uniquely atmospheric indie pop.

Reminiscent of Alvvays in places, or even Yumi Zouma, their songwriting has a drifting, otherworldly feel that touches on the work of David Lynch.

Sugary new single 'Sometimes' is a super-cute return, with a neat chorus that adds some fuzzy charms to your life.

An ultra-infectious single, it flips sadness on its head in an effort to move beyond trauma and embrace love.

Singer Lacey Hopkins comments:

"I wrote it out of pain, but it has come to serve as a reminder that I am capable of loving people. I hope it reaches people who struggle to see themselves as both loving and loveable…"

The neat lyric video was constructed by whothefuckismaria, and it's an animated stroll to the beach.
