dreamcastmoe will release new EP ‘MOLLY’S SON’ on February 16th.
The DC-based artist continues his evolution on this new project, prompted by a poem written by his mother. Pushing him into a period of reflection, the EP emerged from a desire to explore his identity as he turned 30 years old.

I am MOLLY’S SON. This project is a representation of who Molly’s Son is at 30. Previous projects have been about getting myself out of a rut and moving forward. But this project is about being back home, finding my groove as an adult and enjoying the little things like playing ball and mentoring my family because the rest of my life is more stable and in the end it comes back to the teachings of my mother, because I am Molly’s Son after all. Ultimately, it’s about finding joy in the small things in life.
Lastly, sonically, the EP is for the club and is rooted in club music, DC’s club music, my travels touring and being inspired by what I have experienced playing in clubs across Europe, Australia, and the US.
Featuring five new songs – and one remix – the EP is led by the crystalline electronics of new song ‘ON THE BEACH’. The production leaves an enormous amount of space, while there’s also a reflective tone to the vocal snippets.
Incorporating club aspects into a highly personal sphere, ‘ON THE BEACH’ leads into a very intriguing EP release.
