Hull creative Downtown Kayoto has shared new single ‘Trust U’.
A truly unique talent, Downtown Kayoto is speaking his truth, using his experiences as a Black working class artist in the North to shine a light on the communities that spawned him.
New EP ‘Thinking With My Ears’ is out on July 18th, released via Other projects. The project boasts eight finely crafted songs, with Downtown Kayoto overseeing production alongside the likes of Jack Laboz, Dan Briskin and Gigi.
New song ‘Trust U’ is out now, and epitomises his belief in “confident vulnerability”. Soulful and endearing, the track is laced by some hard-won wisdom, as well as a desire for creative expression to pass genre boundaries.
