Veronica Falls are set to release new track ‘Right Side Of My Brain’ as a free download.
An inherently British invention, indie pop has recently been overrun by those pesky Yanks. In the place of Sarah Records, Heavenly and more fans can indulge themselves with Slumberland, Vivian Girls and more.
However a number of new acts are re-establishing the form as a British entity. Releasing two sparkling singles, Veronica Falls have found themselves at the centre of an increasing amount of hype.
Both ‘Found Love In A Graveyard’ and ‘Beachy Head’ are impeccable pop tunes, matching sighing melodies with dark lyrics. Having released only four tracks to date, Veronica Falls have now decided to unveil a free download.
‘Right Side Of My Brain’ is another step forward for the London based group. Veronica Falls use the old boy / girl vocals trick, culminating in Roxanne’s oddly unsettling plea: “Take your hands off me”.
