The Big Pink are giving away a version of ‘Superman’ remixed by Forest Swords.
Forest Swords doesn’t really do remixes – at least, not in the sense of sticking a donk under something and holding out his hand for the production fee. Rather, the Wirral based soundsmith de-constructs material, using the initial track as a starting point for his own imaginative wanderings.
Picking and choosing which songs he agrees to remix, Forest Swords was recently temped to work with The Big Pink. ‘Superman’ samples Laurie Anderson, allowing fans to witness the Wirral producer re-working a genuinely seminal avant garde artist.

Meanwhile, The Big Pink are focussing on a re-arranged British tour. Originally scheduled to take place in November, the shows have been pushed to February.
Opening in Bristol on February 8th, the shows continue with dates in Portsmouth, Nottingham and more. Ending in London on February 20th, tickets are on sale now.
