New album draws closer...

Oneohtrix Point Never has decided to give away the title cut of his new album 'Replica'.

Heady days for Daniel Lopatin...

The American producer stepped out with the collaboration project Ford & Lopatin earlier this year. Debut album 'Channel Pressure' was inspired by jazz fusion, and marked the emergence of a new weapon in the producer's sonic arsenal.

Returning to the Oneohtrix Point Never moniker, new album 'Replica' is the first Lopatin has completed in a full studio. Using the Mexican Summer complex, the producer has expanded his sound utilising ambient passages, tape manipulation and acoustic instruments.

Of course, the Juno-60 is still on display with Oneohtrix Point Never ensuring that new material sits within the overall framework of his output. In the press release, Lopatin emphasises the shift between a club and environmental atmosphere: “Replica has as much to do with environmental, broadcasted, and club sounds as it does with more direct musical influences.”

Pre-orders are available now, with Oneohtrix Point Never continuing to tease fans with a series of free downloads. Grab title cut 'Replica' below...
