UNKLE have completed a new soundtrack project, and you can download a brand new track.
UNKLE have always had a soundtrack element. With their roots in trip hop, the band no doubt own crate-loads of long lost funk LPs stripped from Blaxploitation flicks.
No the British collective are set to release the soundtrack to a new film. Shot in co-operation with Relentless, ‘The Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down’ the documentary follows UNKLE on a world tour.
Giving a unique, intimate view of the dance group the film mixes incredible live footage with some lengthy interviews. Really getting under the skin of UNKLE the group have contributed some exclusive new material to the soundtrack.
Interspersed between footage of the band is the tale of freeride snowboarders Jeremy Jones and Xavier de le Rue, who aim to travel to the South Pole.
The pair aim to shred Antarctica, with the South Pole of course boasting the most severe peaks anywhere on the planet. ‘The Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down’ is in part their story, following the two on the adventure of a lifetime.

Meanwhile, the band have confirmed details of a special show to premiere the film. ‘The Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down’ will be shown at London’s Union Chapel on September 7th.
The group will show the film, then perform a special one off show with the Hermitage Orchestra. A London based collective, the classical group will re-interpret some of the most acclaimed segments of UNKLE’s career.
