Newcastle punk funk types Maximo Park are set to give fans a taster of their new album with a brand new download.
Maximo Park have been silent for too long. Led by the bowler hat and acerbic lyrics of Paul Smith, the band burst out of the tracks with their debut album ‘A Certain Trigger’.
Quickly following that album with the acclaimed record ‘Our Earthly Pleasures’ the band took off on a massive tour of the UK, playing to sold out crowds and even having a beer named after them in their native Newcastle.
Since then, however, little has been heard of the band. Working with producer Nick Launay in the United States, Maximo Park have been formulating their return.
Titled ‘Quicken The Heart’ it could well be Maximo Park’s most complete work to date. The group will give fans a taster of their new material with the free download ‘Wraithlike’ which will be available from tomorrow (March 10th).
Available from the band’s official site, the track will stay live for two weeks.
