L-Vis 1990 takes charge of the latest mixtape from Night Slugs, delivering a typically up front offering.
It's been another big year for Night Slugs. Hosting countless parties, the label was also responsible for Jam City's enthralling debut album, the odd Grime system smasher from Bok Bok and a few other vital releases.
Alongside this, the imprint launched a new series of mixtapes. Bok Bok took charge of the inaugural instalment earlier this year, with L-Vis 1990 handling a colourful second offering.
Featuring plenty of mash ups and liquid funk, L-Vis 1990 drops in a few cheeky a capellas alongside the frequently mis-understood Prince cut ‘Batdance’.
It's not all done with a nudge and a wink, though; tracks from Robert Hood and Paul Woolford point towards the producer's roots in illicit, straight ahead techno.
