Kanye West has unveiled his latest free mp3 including a guest appearance from Jay-Z.
Jay-Z and Kanye West go back a long way. The pair first met almost ten years ago and together have arguably helped define the commercial face of hip hop over the course of a decade.
The two have worked together on numerous occasions, with Kanye West stopped by Jay-Z’s studio last year to help with ‘The Blueprint 3’. An international success, the collaboration demonstrated that Kanye West still held a commercial touch – despite his recent personal problems.
Now the pair have re-united on a new track. Earlier this year Kanye West confirmed a weekly download series on his official website, leading the countdown to his eagerly awaited studio album.
Collaboration heavy, it was perhaps inevitable that Jay-Z would get involved. Following on from last week’s lengthy melancholic musings with Raekwon the latest download is a meditative effort.
Lasting some seven minutes, ‘So Appalled’ contains some heavyweight hip hop dons. Jay-Z guest stars, while Clipse MC Pusha T also makes a sly appearance. Production comes courtesy of RZA and Swizz Beatz, with the track available to download HERE.
Meanwhile, MTV has confirmed that Kanye West is set to team up with 30 Seconds From Mars. The rapper has recorded a new track with the American rockers, with ‘Hurricane’ set to be released on the extended version of ‘This Is War’.
