Download: Indians – Cakelakers

First sign of debut album...

New 4AD signing Indians has shared unreleased track 'Cakelakers' ahead of his upcoming debut album.

A vehicle for Copenhagen based songwriter Søren Løkke Juul, Indians remains a relatively new proposition. Sharing a handful of demos earlier this year, the Danish artist signed to 4AD and began working on his debut album. With sessions now complete, Indians can begin to look ahead.

Forthcoming album 'Somewhere Else' drops on January 28th, but ahead of this Søren Løkke Juul has shared a new track. 'Cakelakers' was recorded in the Danish countryside, and has a pastoral quality to it. Perhaps its the plaintive acoustic chords, or the reverb drenched production but 'Cakelakers' has a nagging, rural atmosphere which – despite the city rush – is difficult to shrug off.

Indians are giving the track away, but fans will be able to pick it up on limited edition seven inch vinyl this November. The physical edition of 'Cakelakers' comes equipped with an exclusive B-side, the 4AD session version of 'I Am Haunted'.
