Hidden out on the deserts of California, Gonjasufi found the space to develop his own voice. Moving between an arid croak and whispered tones, the rapper’s flow is unlike anyone else around.
Debut album ‘A Sufi And A Killer’ benefited from guest production courtesy of Flying Lotus and The Gaslamp Killer, but what really shone through was Gonjasufi’s inspirational blend of weed flavoured mysticism.
Clash were huge fans – we named the album #2 in our countdown of the best albums of 2010. Now Gonjaufi is ready to make his next move, with the rapper releasing his four track EP ‘The 9th Inning’ as a free download.
