Hotly tipped Newcastle group Detroit Social Club have given fans a new entirely free live version of ‘Forever Wonderland’.
Detroit Social Club emerged last year playing a huge number of gigs across the nation. Recording their debut album, the band self-released it selling copies out of the back of their tour van.
Support slots with Primal Scream and fellow North East lads The Futureheads followed, greatly boosting their profile. The band were courted by a number of major labels, but in an innovative deal have signed with Fiction Records whilst retaining their independence.
Fans can download ‘Forever Wonderland’ from the group’s official website right now. Detroit Social Club are currently recording their debut album proper, using fancy studios and everything. Will it retain the charm of their original recordings? Time will tell.
The first fruits of their labour are due soon, however, with Detroit Social Club set to release their new single ‘Sunshine People’ on March 30th. The band are also set to play the following tour dates:
