Tom Vek has stepped in to supply a deft re-working of alt-J’s new single ‘Breezeblocks’.
Dance music is supplying a subtle, but profound shift in the way guitar bands operate. Take alt-J: the band’s material contains few explicit electronics, but their song structures, the way each part interlocks betrays the influence of dance culture.
So upcoming single ‘Breezeblocks’ is ripe material for potential remixes. alt-J handed the stems over to Tom Vek recently, and the forward thinking London based producer supplied a typically imaginative re-working.
