Doves have shared new single ‘Cold Dreaming’.
The aptly titled song comes as the UK experiences a dip in temperatures, and Doves have delivered a sonic form of Northern hygge. The band remain crucial songwriters, with Jez Williams continuing to achieve great heights as a vocalist.
New album ‘Constellations For The Lonely’ is out on February 14th, with ‘Cold Dreaming’ representing the latest preview.
Wonderfully chilled songwriting with a frosted edge, ‘Cold Dreaming’ displays the continued creative unity within Doves.
Andy Williams says: “‘Cold Dreaming’ is a song about forgiveness. Trying to forgive and move on. As a minimum, these days, resilience is the thing that you need more than ever, certainly as a musician. Perhaps the lyrics do touch a bit on what we’ve been through.”
Catch Doves on tour in March, including two nights at Manchester’s Aviva Studios, and London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on March 13th.
