DOVE-i return with new single ‘Default’.
Out now, it finds the reclusive collective twisting and turning in fresh directions. Debut album ‘It’s Pop Fiction’ is a three-dimensional affair, with DOVE-i utilising a base in France over the pandemic.
Inviting others into their world, the group – centred on Thomas Verovski and Bastide Donny – blended vintage-sounding songcraft with fresh ideas, and languid arrangements that nod to the classical world.
Out now, new single ‘Default’ offers assured yet soulful songwriting, reminiscent of those early John Legend cuts or Aloe Blacc’s breakthrough prowess.
The filmic arrangement has a deeply visual quality, while the surging vocals come from Mike Harvey – a hugely experienced figure in the music industry, he has accompanied the likes of Stevie Wonder, Mary J Blige.

As an act of resilience through art, the songs address deep questions, anchored in the reality of this new decade: inner metamorphosis, artistic questioning, love renewal, identity at the time of the Black Lives Matter movement, richness of the differences, the Earth that we leave to the future generations…So many fundamental themes set in motion through music in a resolutely cinematographic spirit by the Dove-i collective with the collaboration of talents from all over the world
