Douglas Dare will release new album ‘Omni’ on May 10th.
The English songwriter won huge acclaim for his delicate 2020 album ‘Milkteeth’, a work of assured beauty. Since then, Douglas Dare has returned to his core, re-evaluating his creative processes.
Fourth album ‘Omni’ lands on May 10th, released via long-time home Erased Tapes. Label mate Daniel Brandt assisted in the construction of the record, with Douglas Dare citing Arca and the late, great SOPHIE as points of inspiration.
“I got to hang out in the studio with her,” says Douglas of the latter. “The way she made music made a big impression on me.”
Douglas Dare will play London’s Corsica Studios on May 9th, with new single ‘Mouth To Mouth’ online now. Bolstered by beats from Rival Consoles, it breaks with his past, supplying something urgent, future-facing, an bewitching.
Of the single, Douglas says, “life, death, fate and orgies; this is the heartfelt club track I always wanted to write.”
Tune in now.
