Douglas Dare will release his new album 'Milkteeth' on February 21st.
The record brings the English songwriter closer to the central emotional pull of his art, working quickly but decisively throughout.
Out early next year, 'Milkteeth' was recorded in just 12 days, with Douglas Dare working alongside producer Mike Lindsay (Tunng, LUMP).
Stripped back and unflinchingly honest, it's led by wonderful new song 'Silly Games', with its strummed autoharp chords set against that evocative vocal.
An engrossing, literate song, shot through with life experience, 'Silly Games' was seemingly written in little more than an hour.
“Instinctual feelings about childhood and innocence were the catalyst,” he explains. “Then with the autoharp, it all just clicked – I could see the album laid out ahead of me.”
Tune in now.
