Dora Jar Shares Probing Single ‘Timelapse’

Tune in now...

Dora Jar returns with new single ‘Timelapse’.

The alt-pop songwriter cleared the decks with her punchy single ‘Puppet’, before ‘She Loves Me’ seemed to signal the start of a new chapter in her life.

Out now, ‘Timelapse’ continues her journey. It’s a song that asks central questions in her life, with the recurring motif: “Who am I…?”

Sweet on the surface, Dora Jar’s alt-pop elixir dares to ask profound questions of her life, and points to broader themes in – drum roll! – her upcoming album.

“Who am I?” is a recurring question I ask throughout my album. When I moved back to New York in my early adulthood, it was the first time I felt like I could have fun living the answer to that question. New York moves so fast, your surroundings blur, and change feels more intense and inevitable. I wanted this song to sound like getting lost in the busy time lapse of life.”

The video utilises a time-lapse journey through New York, the city acting as a kind of emotional parallel to Nora Jar’s own life.

A moving and beautiful watch, you can tune in now.
