Donald Trump recently made a rather spectacular dash into the political realm, stating his intention to run for President of the United States.
During his opening gambit, the business mogul used several songs, including Neil Young's 'Rockin' In The Free World'. The Canadian-born songwriter hit back, penning this missive to explain his objections.
Now Donald Trump has posted a series of tweets in which he labels the singer a "hypocrite". It seems that, despite his stated objections, Neil Young previously visited Donald Trump to canvas for investment in his Pono audio platform.
Check out the tweets below.
.@Neilyoung A few months ago Neil Young came to my office looking for $$ on an audio deal & called me last week to go to his concert. Wow!

For the nonbeliever, here is a photo of @Neilyoung in my office and his $$ request—total hypocrite. pic.twitter.com/Xm4BJvetIa

.@Neilyoung’s song, “Rockin’ In The Free World” was just one of 10 songs used as background music. Didn’t love it anyway.
