Domino Prepare FlexiDisc Zine

Featuring Real Estate, Dirty Projectors...

Domino have lined up a new flexi-disc zine, featuring material from Real Estate, Dirty Projectors and more.

At one point almost at the point of extinction, the flexi-disc seems to be making a comeback. London label X-Ray specialise in flexi releases, while Domino now look set to give the format their seal of approval.

The independent are lining up a flexi-disc ‘zine, no less, with a release due on Record Store Day (April 21st).

Named ‘Smuggler’s Way’ the upcoming ‘zine contains five unreleased tracks from band’s on the label. Amongst the acts Domino have hooked into the project are Dirty Projectors, Real Estate, Cass McCombs, Villagers and John Maus with each gaining a different coloured flexi disc of their very own.

The 24 page ‘zine, meanwhile, contains contributions from a number of Domino and Ribbon artists. An intriguing list of talent, Smuggler’s Way will boast pieces from Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Laura Marling, Owen Pallett, Bjorn Copeland (Black Dice), Alex Bleeker (Real Estate), Andrea Estella (Twin Sister) and more.

Smuggler’s Way is set to be released on April 21st.
