Doherty Recording With Blur Man

Solo Album From Libertine

Ever productive Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty is set to collaborate with Blur guitarist and professional nice man Graham Coxon, it has emerged.

The singer has been working on his forthcoming solo album for some time, with the recording surrounded by rumor and myth. Those wagging tongues haven’t been helped by a series of videos Doherty has uploaded to the web himself, featuring the singer collaborating with a number of musicians.

One of those musicians is former Blur guitarist Graham Coxon. Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek told XFM that “it’s not just musical with Graham, it’s this whole sonic environment he creates and that’s what has brought a really special edge to Peter’s solo album…it’s really interesting.”

The pair were featured in a video leaked online playing the 1997 Blur track ‘You’re So Great’.

Pete Doherty has not given the forthcoming solo album a name or a release date.
