Newcomers Dog Is Dead are set to release their new single ‘Two Devils’ on March 5th.
Hailing from Nottingham, Dog Is Dead spent 2011 up-ending expectations. A breezy indie pop outfit, the band showed a sense of ambition, of sheer bloody mindedness that could see them reach some staggering heights.
Currently working on their debut album, the band are now focussing on a new single. ‘Two Devils’ will be released on March 5th, with David Kosten (who is currently overseeing their debut LP) sitting in the producer’s chair.
Rob Milton commented recently that the single “is a tale of guilt and insanity stemming from a twisted relationship in which a girl falls sick. It’s a little dark.”
Recorded at RAK Studios, former tour mates Bombay Bicycle Club are apparently in line to provide a remix.
Finishing off 2011 with a show at Nottingham’s Rock City venue, Dog Is Dead will open the New Year with an epic jaunt. Taking them as far North as Stornoway (the place… not the band) the tour stretches around every corner of the UK.
Recently adding a London show, Dog Is Dead are set to play a one off show at the Borderline on March 15th.
Tickets are on sale now.
