DIVORCE Return With New Song ‘My Room’

"An ode to unconditional love..."

DIVORCE have shared new single ‘My Room’ in full.

The band are busy making power moves, reconvening with producer Catherine Marks for their latest statement. Out now, ‘My Room’ is billed as “an ode to unconditional love”, and it contains a dulcet vocal, and some of the group’s most affecting lyrics yet.

It’s all part of the band’s stellar rise, with the four-piece set to play a full UK tour in October. Kicking off with a home city run, DIVORCE will play a sold-out residency at Nottingham’s Bodega, with the run finishing at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.

Out now, ‘My Room’ sparks another memorable summer for the quartet. Vocalist and bassist Tiger Cohen-Towell says…

‘My Room’ is an ode to unconditional love. These lyrics are truly some of the most emotionally vulnerable I think I’ve written to date; it speaks of a deep desire to be relaxed about showing affection toward someone that you know extremely well.

I think familiarity can be scary at times, and being truly seen can make you throw walls up between yourself and the people you want to be closest to. We had a group of wonderful kids singing on the last chorus, the children’s voices I think adds both naïveté and heaviness to the track. This really summarises the feeling we wanted to achieve with this song. It’s like being back in your childhood bedroom and crying and not really knowing why. But it’s joyous too!

Tune in now.
