Disclosure have opened up about the banned video for their track 'Help Me Lose My Mind'.
Drugs and dance music have always been intertwined. Dance music is closely linked in the public mind to drug use, something which has created much distaste within the electronic community.
Disclosure appear to be the latest group to become victims of this supposition. Placing the video for new track 'Help Me Lose My Mind' online, the Lawrence brothers were forced to take the clip back down within 24 hours.
Label PMR made the decision, following complaints that it showed drug abuse. In a statement the imprint said that they "feel very strongly against the glamorisation of drugs of drugs in any capacity".
Speaking to Revolt TV, Disclosure opened up about the decision. "The video doesn’t contain any drug using at all, but some of the comments were that people were thinking they were on drugs in the video" said Guy Lawrence.
"It was taken down when we were asleep – but I would have made the same decision. We’re not about glamorising drugs in any way."
